Carissa's Wedding Gifts, etc...

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

My oldest is getting married next Monday (the 13th) These are the gifts and card I made as well as the Flower Girl basket I decorated.

I actually made these first two items and the green card when things were in motion 2 yrs ago. Luckily, acrylic scrapes right off so I could change the date... LOL I traced around the stickers and then painted the space in on the brown plaque. The large panels I just finished a couple of weeks ago. Ended up doing a combination of color resist and decoupage. Mainly because the tall brown stickers are filled center rather than open centers. First major project I've ever done in this style. Only did a 10x10 practice canvas for my younger daughter's birthday back in May. Scroll down the page to see that one. And, yes you'll notice a theme here...

Sorry this image is so fuzzy, had to do these on my laptop... the top says, "To my daughter and her husband" Two of my newer stamps and stencils on here.

One of my newer stamps --

I glued the old card into the new one -- the next image will show why... (aside from the fact of better design and newer stamps) Their wedding colors are purple, green, and silver...

I didn't want to have to re-copy the entire passage... and I like the bride and groom stamp "ghosted" behind the text. :)

I know this one is a little hard to see, but it's another newer stamp of a bouquet.

And, finally, the Flower Girl basket. My granddaughter, Brandi, will be carrying it. The raffia bow came with it, I wove the purple myself and tied the white onto it. The white ribbon has gold lettering that reads, "Faith, Hope, Love" with crosses in between each phrase.

And some of the flowers, thanks to Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann's although I arranged and wrapped them myself with raffia wire and ribbon.

Irises and calla lillies -- the purple rose is from 2 yrs ago when I was going to surprise her with something pretty to carry... She may trim it down and toss it...

This is the jewelry I spent all afternoon on yesterday to go with my dress and my ex's tie.
